Customer Requirements

The following items are required in order to qualify for service for VABB High-Speed Wireless Service:

A Qualified Location

You need to be located in a community where we offer service and be close enough to our broadcaster to receive signal. Generally, you need to be within four miles of our transmission broadcaster. Our broadcasters are typically located at electrical substations, water towers, or other tall structures or towers. Prior to an installation, a qualified installer will verify that acceptable signal strength is present. Call us at 877-299-VABB (8222) and we can Pre-qualify your residence or business.

A Compatable Operating System

Service is compatible with Windows 95, 98, Me, 2000, XP and Vista as well as Macintosh and any Linux and Unix operating systems that support TCP/IP.

An Ethernet Environment

Your desktop computer must be configured for an ethernet environment or be connected to wireless router. Most Desktop and Laptop Computers today already come preconfigured for ethernet. Not sure what an Ethernet Jack looks like?

Ethernet Port: This is also known as an RJ45 jack – it looks similar to a standard telephone jack, just a little wider.
